The USCPAA, is a privately funded, nonprofit organization, advocates for peace education and promotes the history of the Peace Arch.

1995   

The United States/Canada Peace Anniversary Assoc. formed.

The USCPAA establishes partnerships with Washington State Parks, British Columbia Provincial Parks. A partnerships was also established with Josie DeFalla the Director of the late Samuel Hill's "Maryhill Museum of Art" in Goldendale, WA.

Development and creation of the “Portal of Peace” curricula. The Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction approved the curriculum for distribution.

"Pennies' for "Peace" Playground" fund established.

Development and creation of production of "The Peace Arch Rises” historic video. TCI Cable vision donates the video production.

1996             

"Portal of Peace" Curricula distributed to over 1,500 public & private Schools in Washington State for free. Over 500,000 students in those schools.

10 educational visits to US/Can. elementary schools.

The Band of the Adjutant Generals Corps play a benefit performance for the USCPAA at the Blaine Performing Arts Center. The performance was courtesy of the British Consulate in Seattle, WA.

"Pennies for "Peace" Reenactment established to celebrate the parks birth and create Playground at Peace Arch Park.

"Recycled Spirits of Iron" Sculpture Exhibition at the Marine Park in Blaine.

USCPAA members attend a Gala is Seattle for His Royal Highness Prince Andrew. Christina Alexander is officially presented to HRH Prince Andrew by Michael Upton HMR of the British Consulate in Seattle for her work in the international peace park.

Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the Dedication of the Arch Celebration. Washington State Governor Mike Lowery is one of the numerous dignitaries in attendance.

1997            

"The Peace Arch Rises" video airs worldwide (History Channel).

Establishment of International Fine Arts Program

"Pennies for "Peace" Playground fundraiser at Peace Arch Park.

1998            

First Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.

"Pennies for Peace" playground" installed at the Peace Arch Park.

1999            

Second Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition featuring juried artworks of 17 US / Canadian artists.

The Band of the Welsh Guards play a benefit performance for the USCPAA at the Blaine Performing Arts Center. The performance was courtesy of the British Consulate in Seattle, WA.

2000           

Third Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition. Establishment of the Peace Arch Park International Art Festival. 

Establishment of the Downtown Artwork Exhibit in Blaine.

"Spirit of Blaine Harbor" sculpture donated to the City of Blaine.

Peace Arch Presentation at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Conference "Managing Common Borders" in Detroit, MI and Windsor, Ontario.

"The Peace Arch Rises" video airs again worldwide (History Channel Traveler).

2001            

The Band of the Fifteenth Field Artillery Regiment play a benefit performance for the USCPAA at the Blaine Performing Arts Center. The performance was courtesy of the Canadian Consulate in Seattle, WA. After the concert White Rock Mayor, Hardy Staub and Blaine Mayor, John Hobberlin.

Fourth Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.

"Silver Meteor" sculpture donated to the USCPAA by artist Benbow Bullock.

Peace Arch Park International Art Festival featuring an environmental artist Fred Stern as he creates a natural Peace (Arch) Rainbow.

Downtown Artwork Exhibit in Blaine, highlighted by placement of the "Hole Cow" at the Clark & Peace Portal parklet.

"The Peace Arch Rises" airs worldwide for third time on the History Channel Traveler TV program.

Peace Arch Eightieth Anniversary Celebration & "1920’s dress up Day” featuring Mr. Samuel Hill (who graciously returns to Blaine). 

International Peace Vigil and Candle Lighting Ceremony 9-15-01.

2002            

Fifth Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.

Downtown Artwork Exhibit in Blaine.

Kinship Memorial Walk send off ceremony.

Corvettes "Stars and Stripes" Across America send off ceremony.

"The Peace Arch Rises" airs worldwide (History Channel) in May and November.

Artrain USA featuring the "Artistry of Space" exhibit visits Blaine for the first time.

Peace Arch History Exhibition.

First Annual Sunsets Sculptures and Serenades Concert featuring the North Cascades Concert Band.

Peace Arch Eighty First Anniversary Celebration and 1920’s dress up day.  Participants expand to businesses' in downtown Blaine  dressing up in honor of Sam Hill’s return.

Samuel Hill and friends pay an educational visit to the Blaine Elementary school.

September 6th, Live broadcast and breakfast with the CBC Radio Station's Rick Cluff and Early Edition at the Peace Arch Park.

September 6th, Commemorative International Peace Vigil and Candle Lighting Ceremony at the Peace Arch Park

2003           

Sixth Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.

Performance of "Children of a Common Mother" by Christina Alexander for the Washington State Legislature on Washington State Children’s Day.

Second Annual Sunsets Sculptures and Serenades Concert.

Downtown Artwork & Soul Salmon Exhibit and brochure in Blaine.

Peace Arch Eighty Second Anniversary Celebration and 1920’s dress up day.  Participants expand to businesses' in downtown Blaine  dressing up in honor of Sam Hill’s return.

Samuel Hill and friends pay an visit to the Blaine Elementary school.

2004

Peace Arch Presentation: Universal Forum of Cultures, Towards a World of No Violence conference in Barcelona, Spain.

Peace Arch Presentation: World Culture Open, Seoul, South Korea.

Third Annual Sunsets Sculptures and Serenades Concert.

Peace Arch Dedication Days Eighty Third Anniversary Celebration and 1920’s dress up day.  Participants expand to businesses' in downtown Blaine dressing up in honor of Sam Hill’s return.

USCPAA Member's Participate in Peace Education Conferences at Simon Fraser University and University of British Cloumbia.

2005        

The USCPAA Celebrates their 10th Anniversary.

Eighth Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.

Artworks Exhibited in downtown Blaine & Peace Arch Park.

Peace Arch Presentation Invitation to participate in: International Peace Park Conference in Glacier Waterton International Park in September 2005. Washington State Park Staff has also been invited to attend.

Fourth Annual Sunsets Sculptures and Serenades Concert.

Peace Arch Eighty Fourth Anniversary Celebration and 1920’s dress up day.  Participants expand to include businesses' in downtown Blaine  dressing and a Gala up in honor of Sam Hill’s return.
