USCPAA Press Release August 17, 2004

The World Culture Open is an international non-profit organization that serves as an open environment, free of constraints, where individuals and organizations engaged in the creative arts, holistic wellbeing and humanitarian service can share, experience and celebrate each other's cultural traditions. The vast diversity of cultural expression serves as a bridge between people as well as a resource for drawing on the wisdom inherent in other cultures. The diversity that once kept us apart becomes an invaluable tool for shaping a future that is peaceful, harmonious and balanced – for both individuals and societies.

World Culture Open (WCO) The 2004 WCO Open Competitions will take place from September 11th through 19th. Selected contestants from around the world will compete in the following areas: traditional or contemporary dance, traditional or contemporary music, martial arts, and traditional methods of mind–body meditation and exercise.

In the humanitarian service field, entries are also solicited in the form of exhibitions in photography, video, and other forms of artistic presentation addressing the themes of "world peace, harmony and service to humanity."
